Luis Vallejo Estudio de Paisajismo was created in 1986 by Luis Vallejo García-Mauriño who then already had great experience, gained through family tradition.

From the beginning, his activities were based equally in national and international projects – in private projects such as interventions in large estates in Madrid, Toledo, Albacete and Cordoba, private gardens in Madrid, Mallorca, Morocco and Tel Aviv as well as projects of greater scale such as the Oman Botanic Garden in Omán, the University Hospital Rio Hortega in Valladolid or the Ciudad Financiera of the Banco Santander Central Hispano in Madrid. All of these gardens include interventions not only in landscaping, but also in urbanism and architecture. They all share the same characteristic: natural, plant and mineral elements form the axis that is the base for the structure, development and implementation of the project, this being a private garden, a public place or a hospital.

The sculpture is part of many projects of the studio as it is an element of the landscape. Luis Vallejo personalizes the pieces and compositions and integrates them in the nature of the project.

In addition, Luis Vallejo is director and curator of the Bonsai Museum in Alcobendas.
The Museum offers courses and workshops by known masters of this discipline. Furthermore it is the place where the Luis Vallejo MBA competition is held every two years, which already had six internationally recognized editions.

The studio includes an own gardening company for the implementation, ARCEVAL JARDINERIA S.L. Luis Vallejo has been awarded several prizes and recognitions. The most important of them is the “Order of the Rising Sun” offered by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, which is a symbol of the Japanese Government’s recognition of foreign civilians who make a contribution to the diffusion and promotion of the Japanese culture in other countries.

The studio led by the landscaper Luis Vallejo is formed by a team of multidisciplinary collaborators who work on all the phases that a landscaping and architecture project consists of: architects, agronomical engineers, botanists, technical forest engineers, technical agriculture engineers, construction engineers, superior constructors, civil engineers and ecologists. The ambition of this team is always to create a garden, a special and unique landscape, an architectural space that is perfectly integrated in its surroundings.
